I am entering my 18th year of teaching and coaching. I am married to my wife Paige and I have two children
Dillon (17 yrs old) and Gracie (12 yrs old). We have two boxer's Annie & Tyson that are a big part of our family. This is my 5th year at Poteet High School and I am the Varsity Boys Assistant Basketball.
I am a product of MISD. I was born and raised in Mesquite. I attended Florence Black Elementary, Agnew Middle School, Mesquite High School, and my senior year I went to Celeste High School. I received my Bachelor's degree in
Interdisciplinary Studies from East Texas State University and my Master's in Health & Human Performance from what is now Texas A&M University-Commerce. I began my teaching and coaching career at A.C. New for 7 years. I also coached at West Mesquite High school during this time as well. I then taught at Florence Black Elementary for one year and moved on to Lone Oak High School where I was the Special Teams Coordinator/Receivers/Secondary football coach and the Head Basketball Coach. Next I moved back to Mesquite and coached at Berry Middle School and Horn High School for 4 years. In 2010 I became a Pirate, coaching varsity secondary, receivers, kickers and the Boys Assistant Basketball Coach. During my teaching career I have taught several subject areas such as:
6th gradeReading/World History/ICT/All Levels of Physical Education/Health/APEX
I am currently teaching Health. I am excited about educating my students on the importance of Health and how it impacts their life and everyone around them.
